Quang has been the top spot for viet food in Minneapolis for me since I've moved here. There's never a wait even though the restaurant always seems crowded & the food comes out incredibly fast. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food can be inconsistent in quality. I can order the same thing multiple times in a row and it always comes out different. This last time their fried tofu wasn't my favorite but the sweet potato and shrimp cakes were amazing!

I love the pad Thai and egg rolls at Quang. The pho is pretty underwhelming though. If you want amazing pho, go to Stone Pho or MT noodles :)

I've been going to Quang for over 15 years now . I love the seabass soup but this time I was a bit disappointed. The potion size is smaller and the flavor was an off. There was a tremendous amount of fish in the soup. The spring rolls and egg rolls were great along with the limeade. Service was fast. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of day.

New to Minneapolis and came here per a recommendation from a friend. Everything was fantastic! Orders: Shrimp and pork spring rolls: delicious. Loved the sauce. A solid spring roll. Sliced angus beef pho: the broth was super tasty and the beef was tender. Added some lime, bean sprouts, jalapeño, and basil - perfection. Shrimp and pork wonton egg noodle soup: the favorite of the table! After having this, I want to try all the other egg noodle dishes they have on the menu. I will definitely be coming back for more. Overall, service was great. Super fast and adequately attentive for how busy they were. The place was also nicely decorated. No complaints.

I came with my family of 7 and they were able to seat us very quickly. The space is quite large and accommodates large groups quite well. I tried the Pho Ribeye, which was delicious - the broth had the right mixture of flavors and depth, the meat was of good quality and generous portion, the bowl was definitely filling and enough for one person. I also tried some of Bo Nuong (beef) Banh Mi, and it also was tasty. The bread had the right crunchy-yet-soft texture, the meat was well flavored, and the toppings complemented everything nicely. The service was very fast and accommodating for our big group. We ended up adding some things to our order and asking for add-ons to what we had, and they all handled the pivots very well. They unfortunately ran out of the Bun Bo Hue and the Bun Rieu when we went on a Sunday evening, so that was a bit disappointing. But otherwise, the food I tried here was great - a great place for pho!

I loved this place! We ordered the bun bo hue, rice vermicelli noodles with grill beef and shrimp, grilled sausage spring rolls and pork egg rolls. Both rolls were pretty hefty and was a generous size! The sausage one was packed with flavor and I loved the skin texture as it was chewy. The pork egg rolls were so crispy and meaty and I really liked the refreshing dipping sauce that came with it. The vermicelli bowl came with tons of vegetables and was a refreshing touch. It was also packed with meat! The bun Bo hue had a hint of spice and was also packed! The service here was fast and very friendly!

Update: Quang has emerged as the most consistently great bowl of pho in town - it is obvious they measure their ingredients; that they have a recipe and they follow it. Their pho is always the same! It's fragrant of spices, never too sour or sweet.* It comes in an insulated bowl and has beautiful fat droplets on top. (In Vietnam pho is sometimes served in hot "stone bowls" that retain heat, so this insulated bowl achieves something similar.) Quang is also one of my favorite local restaurants period. They have fantastic bahn mi, pork noodle soup, banh cuon, and we like their fried yams! The staff are nice and provide good service, despite the restaurant often being quite busy. The've been in the industry for 33 years, but inside it looks quite new and clean. It's obvious in every way that the owners continue to invest in this business, which feels very much alive. See my original review for more details. *I have noticed that other pho spots in Saint Paul and Minneapolis may sometimes have a better "bone broth" flavor (a deep, beef aroma e.g. Pho 79), but some days the broth is watery, too sour, or unbalanced in some way. Their "better than Quang" bowl is there *sometimes,* but often not! Quang is always balanced and, I will add, the warm pho seasoning flavors (e.g. cinnamon, star anise, cardamom) always come through well. The Lotus downtown often has a broth that is light, smooth as homemade chicken soup so they are more *consistent* in quality like Quang but lesser in terms flavor! If I'm downtown on a cold Minnesota day, heck yeah I'll grab Lotus but if I'm in my car then I am driving to Quang. It simply the answer

My bestie has been talking about her love for Quangs for the longest time. I finally tried it last week when we were celebrating her birthday. I thought it was pretty good. A lot of times at Asian restaurants, you find bones or cartilage in your dish and I am happy to say that was not present. There were some feathers on the chicken wings though. We were able to be sat right away and they were very attentive. Chicken Pad Thai was listed as hot, but I didn't sense any heat in the dish. The lemongrass chicken was pretty tasty. Between the two dishes I'd get the lemongrass chicken again. I ordered the wonton soup to go and it was great! I'm currently stuck in the house sick, and that soup sounds really soothing right now! Wish I could get my hands on that at the moment.
